The Blog That Time Forgot

I don’t really have time for a post this week and nor do I really have much of a clue as to what I would write about if I had the time. I have gone interstate for a technical conference and doubt I will get much of a real opportunity to do a post justice. Most of you will be saying, “Hey Ape No. 1, many people use the actual event of traveling for a specific reason as material to create a post on their blog. Post on that and stop your whining.” Good suggestion I say which is why this week I am going to discuss something completely different. I have a question for the blogging community. Is it ok to repost old crap from your older blog if you find yourself unable to find time to do a new post. Consider it like a television rerun during the off ratings season which is designed to keep you still watching that particular channel but with minimal creative effort actually required from the show, or blog, writers.

Haha. Ape No. 1 actually thinks people will miss his post. Now tell me more about those damn apes Chuck.

Well it is obvious, given that I am now onto my second paragraph, that I may not require the answer to that question this week and I suppose I have actually worked out what to post about this week but I am still curious to the views from some on this topic. One part of me says you should always strive to create new material as it is the process of writing that makes it interesting whilst the other part of me says “You have no time for a post this week!! Put down the friggin’ keyboard, organize yourself for this conference and then get your blog addicted arse to bed!” I guess I should listen to myself and end this post before things get heated between the two of us. Ape No. 1 signing off.

We are from the WordPress authorities Mr Einstein. We have heard rumors of old crap being reposted as fresh new posts. Firstly, have you seen any suspicious posts recently and secondly what is the deal with the guy trying to camouflage himself as a painting? Both he and the painting are crooked by the way.

About Ape No. 1

This famous lowland gorilla was born on July 4, 1971, in San Francisco. He was a gorilla who mastered over 2,000 words in American Blog Language, allowing him to communicate with humans in an astounding way. Some people felt that he was simply making blogs without understanding their real meanings, in order to receive treats and rewards from his readers.

It’s plenty OK to recycle material… I hear that E=MC2 was an old formula used for figuring out how much paint to buy to cover a wall of a certain size!

I think reposts are fine. One guy I know re-posts things, basically, because when he first wrote no one read it. So he’s happy that some gems that were buried in the past can be enjoyed – and I’m happy for him.

Also, I now have a goal of looking like a bland painting in all pictures I’m in.

Thanks DumbFunnery. I was thinking of not reposting verbatim but stealing some of my raw ideas and rehashing in WordPress as the audience here seems more engaged and active. I never trusted my Blogger blog stats and I think much of my traffic was bots and not real people. The lack of comments I think was evidence of this.
